I usually purchase a lot of drugstore makeup, but splurge a little more sometimes. Ulta is beauty heaven! You can always find something new to try or stock up on your usual products. I usually use the same makeup products. Recently I have been using the drugstore foundation Maybelline Fit Me, but I think it was causing me to have an allergic reaction to something in the product since I started using it. I decided to spend a little more on two new products. I am in no way shape or form a beauty expert (nor am I getting any sort of commission). These are my personal opinions so feel free to comment if you love these products as well.

Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation- I’ve used several different foundations in the last few years. I was using Cover FX for a while which works good with my skin (I had a darker shade for while ago when my face was a bit tanner lol). An employee at Ulta introduced me to this one and so far I love it! I’ve read mixed reviews but everyone’s skin is different. I love a light feel foundation with a matte finish. It’s such a cute bottle with a pump. Has 50 shades! I’m using shade 30NN. Still looked great after a long day at work.

(My face was breaking out so this is a perfect example of before and after pics using the foundation and concealer. I just brightened the pics up a bit so you can see the difference).

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer- I been seeing this concealer everywhere and decided I had to try it! I’ve also saw several bloggers I follow using it as well. My go to concealer has usually been the Maybelline Fit Me and looks great on my skin. The Ulta employee chose the perfect shade for my skin. Definitely hides the blemishes. I’m using shade 22B light beige.

Benefit Roller Lash- I love love love this mascara! This has been my go to for about a year now. They have a small and a large size. Doesn’t get clumpy and has a curved brush. Worth the buy!

Ulta Airbrush Blurring Foundation Brush- My favorite brush for applying foundation on my skin. Brush is a little pricey but worth the buy!

Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo- I was introduced to this product over a year ago. I always use this product when my hair starts looking a little greasy and saves me a wash or two! Smells good too! Definitely worth the buy! There is a small travel size as well as a larger bottle.

Summer Finds At Target!

Who doesn’t love Target?! You can go in thinking you just need one thing and come out with 10 (which is what usually happens). lol! I found a lot of good items on my recent trip for summer (I live in Florida so that’s usually all year) that I’m going to share with you guys!

Leopard Print Tank- Obsessed with animal print so of course I had to pick this up! Super comfy and can style it many ways. Its rather long so it was perfect with the overalls. I purchased a medium.

Distressed Jean Overalls (Light Wash)- Been digging the overalls trend lately and found this really cute pair! They also had a white pair. I love the distressed look with the frayed hem. They run big and I purchased an xs.

V-Neck Button Tank Top (Grey)- Loved this tan when i saw it. Has a waffle knit texture and a V-back also. Runs a little big so I purchased a small. Comes in a few colors.

High Rise Cutoff Jean Shorts (White)- Loved these as soon as I tried them on! They do have pockets and belt loops. A good stretch. I’m usually a size 7-9, I purchased a size 6.

Off The Shoulder Tie Dye Romper- Target has a good selection on rompers. I tried this one on and I loved it. Super light and airy (great for summer in Florida). Love the Tie Dye and off the shoulder look. It has side pockets. Runs a little big so I purchased a small.

Margaritas Por Favor Tank- This tank was perfect for my life lol! Totally wore this to a Taco Tuesday! The color is a light yellow. Cute for different styling options. I purchased a medium.

Rolling Stones Crop Tank- I love band tees and I saw this crop and I had to get it! This crop tank is what I need for this heat in Florida lol. Fits really good and the cotton quality is great. I’d wear it for everyday or a night out. I purchased a medium.

Leopard Print Crewneck Boxy T-Shirt- Yes, another animal print shirt! I’d say this is a longer crop shirt. Runs big so I purchased a small.





How I Organize My Closet

Happy Sunday! Ever draw a blank when you don’t know what to blog about? I was googling “What to write a fashion blog about”, then I saw an idea about “how you organize your closet”, and thought this is a good idea! My closet isn’t very big so this wouldn’t take long lol. Some people have huge walk-ins, but I just have two sliding mirror doors with a few shelves so its rather small. I use one shelf for bags and purses. Top shelf is a mess with childhood stuff lol. I also have two racks for all my shoes at the bottom. I also use a 6 draw dresser. I use to organize by color (which I’m sure a lot of people do), but after a while I got tired of it. Started thinking to myself how could I make this easier? Maybe this will help someone reading this who wants to reorganize also! So I’ll explain how I like to organize.

My Everyday Beauty Essentials!

These items are my everyday faves that work well for me. I usually don’t go heavy on my makeup and I don’t like feeling cakey so these items have worked best for my everyday look. I have purchased these products from a drugstore, Ulta, Sephora or sometimes online. All are reasonable prices. If you love any of these products too, decide to try them out, or have a recommendation for me, feel free to share! 😊

1. Naked Urban Decay Smoky- My go to palette! This palette has always been my fave. It has a range of 12 shades. Perfect color combos to have a light shade during the day or darker for nighttime. It’s on sale now on Urban Decay’s website!

2. Cover Fx The Perfect Light Highlighting Powder- I got introduced to Cover FX products one time when I was in Ulta. I use this as a bronzer. I loved how this shade looked on me. I wear the shade Candlelight.

3. Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation- I just started using this one and so far I like it. Feels very light on your face. There’s a lot of shades to choose from to find your color. I’m using the Porcelain 110. I may try the Matte + Poreless one as well to compare.

4. Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops- This liquid highlighter is one of my faves. A little goes a long way. It has a dropper so I put a few drops on my hand and then apply with a finger and dab with a beauty blender or brush. This liquid highlighter has a great glow. A little pricey, but it will last a while and is worth it. There are several shades, I use Moonlight.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy- This is one of my newer highlighter purchases several months ago. Love how this one looks on my skin! It’s a nice light golden color. Has a really good glow! I believe it was a limited edition, but I bought it at Sephora. You can always look on eBay or Amazon!

6. Precisely, My Brow Pencil by Benefit- This is my newest and favorite eyebrow pencil! It’s waterproof and has a twist up pencil on one side and brush on the other. It looks great on my eyebrows. Has several shades to choose from. The shade 3.5 works great for my eyebrows.

7. Roller Lash by Benefit- I have a few mascara faves but this is my most recent. I tried the smaller version before purchasing the bigger one. I love this one and it doesn’t get clumpy. It has a curved brush to give your lashes a lift and curl.

8. Maybelline Ultra Liner- This waterproof liquid eyeliner has been my favorite for years. Works great for all day and comes off easily.

9. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer- I love love love this concealer! I’ve been using this one for a while now. Works great for under eyes and covering blemishes. I use the shade Sand 20.

10. Becca x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette- I’ve always liked Becca products. This is such a cute and perfect palette! All the shades work great for me. It has a blush, two highlighters and a bronzer. It’s still for sale on Becca’s website! Great for a summer glow!

If your on a budget like myself you might like/love these products! I’ve been using these products for a while for my daily look and absolutely love them. They work just as good for me as more expensive products. You can find these items in Walgreens, CVS, or Target. I am nowhere near a beauty expert lol, these products are just my opinion. All these products are under $11!

  1. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Face Sponge. I been using this beauty blender forever! I use this one dry or damp for my liquid foundation and concealer. Usually replace this within 2-3 months of use.
  2. EcoTools Ecofoam Sponge Duo. This is a pack of two and comes with 2 different sizes. Has the round base or wedge-like tips for straight lines. These work great!
  3. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I love love love this concealer! I’ve been using this one for a while now. Works great for under eyes and covering my pimples! I use Sand 20.
  4. Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation. I just started using this one and so far I like it. I was using a more expensive brand but found myself looking more orange (color was probably too dark). I may try the Matte + Poreless one as well to compare. I’m using the Porcelain 110.
  5. Covergirl Eye Shadow Quads, Stunning Smokeys. Been using this one for a while. The color combos are great! Good for day or night.
  6. Maybelline The City Mini Eyeshadow Palette, Downtown Sunrise. I recently purchased this mini palette and love the colors! They have several mini palettes with different shades and they all look great. You can create a matte look or shimmer. Great summer look for day or night!
  7. E.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara Crystal. I don’t really use it on my eyelashes. Bought it more for my eyebrows. I don’t fill in my eyebrows a lot so it didn’t smear much for me. It does the trick and keeps them in place.
  8. Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I remember asking a friend years ago how her eyeliner looks so good and she swore by this liner. I loved it and been using it ever since. Removes easy for me with eye makeup remover or wipes.
  9. Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara. I think my mom introduced me to this mascara. I have been using it forever! This is always in my makeup bag. Goes on smooth and doesn’t clump up. They also have waterproof. I use Blackest Black.
  10. Milani Baked Bronzer. When I first saw this bronzer I loved the colors. You can also use it as a highlighter to give you that glow. Doesn’t look caked on. Comes in 3 shades. I use Dolce.

Amazon Swim For The Win!

So I thought to myself it’s already summer and time to start looking for some new bathing suits so I can hit the pool/beach in style. I’ve always been uncomfortable with showing off my stomach area (unless I’m by myself at my pool tanning), so I usually try to find one pieces. Well I found these on Amazon for a steal!! For reference I’m 5’7” about 140 pounds and bought a large in all of them.

First, the snake skin one fit pretty good! It’s white and black with a hint of pink. The bottom half fit good but the top half was slightly big in the boob area. It was good quality, the tie in the front is adjustable and the straps are adjustable too. Definitely a good buy!

Second, I loveeee this cheetah print one! Great material and hugs your body. It’s white (looks blue in photos) and black with hint of a peachy color. Square chest look. No adjustable straps but they fit perfect. This one is worth the buy!

Third and last, this leaf design one is my favorite! I was shocked on how good the material is. I loved the strap design in the front. This one has adjustable straps in the back. Overall, it fit great!

Macy’s & JCPenny find!

Macy’s and JCPenny always have good sales going on. I found this camouflage tank at Macy’s which is now on sale for $17! It’s a soft cotton material and runs a little big so I purchased a small. I love it and they have other designs as well. I found these shorts at JCPennys which are now on sale for $15! They are a soft material with a drawstring waistband, lightweight and great for summer. They have several colors available. They ran a bit big so I got a size 4. (I’m 5’7″ about 140 pounds for reference). 😊

Little black dress 🖤

So it’s girls night out and sometimes you scramble to find something to wear right!? Makes you not want to go out when you can’t find anything to wear lol. Then I remembered I had this little black dress I haven’t worn yet in my closet from Fashion Nova. I’m usually picky with how dresses fit me and since I’m tall (5’7″), sometimes they could be short at the bottom. I was reading the reviews and wasn’t sure if I should go with a medium or a large (since I’m either or), so I went with a medium. It fit perfect and I was obsessed. I thought I would need boob tape to stick inside for the top but actually it held without it (or just wear nude boob stickers). The slit is a little short but not too bad. You’ll get a lot of compliments in this dress. I’d definitely buy it in other colors as well! A great buy for $30!
